Cooking tips from Crisco

I mean, these grease guys must know some good tips to cooking.

Their website is great. Very clean, fast, easy to navigate, lots of tips and contests, Deep with information. Kudos to Crisco – This website is an advertisement secondary to a utility.

My only gripe is too much health conscious food. I don’t really want to grill mahi mahi because of the high omega-3 count. I want massive fried chicken boiled in deep fat, with crinklings baked off the sides. You have to do a little digging to get the artery clogging stuff. Here are some of my findings:

Crispy Southern Fried Chicken
Bacon Biscuits
Oven Grilled Reubens
Italian Stuffed Sandwich
Creole BBQ Shrimp

They have tips from Crisco Hall of Famers Ed Wilson and Fred Thompson.
From Crisco Hall of Famer Ed Wilson:
“To improve your skills, use a Log Book to track your grilling. For example, note the outside temperature, grill temperature, length of time the food took to cook, thickness of steak, hamburger, fish fillet, etc. Track the details, outcome, yield and people fed so you can figure out what works best.”
