Abe’s Pitaria
Category: Restaurants
Abe’s is a Wantagh Institution.
Gyros are hearty.
The falafels are of the green variety. I don’t know what this means, but it does taste nice.
The entire menu is consistent. Everything is fresh and crisp, although you would never know it from their marketing. There is none, other than the huge yellow overhang outside.
They don’t seem to skimp on the blend of textures and flavors in their food. The lettuce, tomatoes, hummus, cucs, israeli salad all taste fresh and independant in a pita.
And in the cabinet, how can you say no to a Doc Brown’s Cel-Ray? It’s basically that or a pepsi.
