JEFF”S REVIEW:
Newly opened Wantagh BBQ. Been here twice already. The food is usually nearing delicious. Some standouts have been the garlic mashed potatoes (there must be a ton of butter in it b/c its amazing!), sweet potatoe casserole, fried chicken, and really good ribs (I just wish there was more available for my mouth).

One of the best menus I’ve ever encountered. They talk a big game, but they do follow through for the most part. What with their “Best Wings on the Planet”, “our famous pulled pork sandwich”, “best mojitos on the island”, “big beer batter onion rings”, and more. Just about every item has a great adjective to make it sound awesome.

I am partial because this is only a few blocks away from my house and I want to see more great restaurants succeed here.

ARIEL’s REVIEW:
I went to this Smokey’s BBQ place and I thought it was okay. Its not too good but its okay. Don’t get the mac and cheese because theres weird stuff in it. but the chicken fingers are the best! So go there and try it today. ENJOY! It’s not very organized.

  1. Did the take out. Save your money. Smokey’s BBQ in Wantagh was not worth it. 4 meat platter could not feed 2. After taking off the fat on the pulled pork and fat on the brisket it fed 1 comfortably. All the sides came in very small containers and none were good. Creamed spinach was very salty. Mixed vegatables looked to have been reheated 3-4 times before I got them. These are no easy meat off the bone ribs. Meat was tough and there was hardly any sauce.
Try Laura’s Roadhouse in Bellmore for real BBQ. I’d even take Chili’s ribs over these. Also, don’t think any meat is actually cooked there as they don’t have a smoker. Just reheated. Should have known as a Friday night at 6pm and there was not a single customer in the restaurant.

  2. If you want to eat for a week and get week at the sight of some of the most delicious tasting foods on the north American continent, then make your way to, “Ciao Baby”. Take your friends and have a feast, and I mean a feast. The service is friendly and fast. The food is good and plenty. Come early, come often ……..
