Picture Guide to Parts of a Turkey and VOTE

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My mother makes a great turkey. It’s probably her best meal of the year. She always gets an Empire turkey – they are the best.

What is your favorite part of the turkey?

Here is a picture guide to stir your memory taste buds:

Thigh

Drumstick (polke)

Oysters – Part of the underbelly of the turkey. They are two pockets of tender dark meat with a ton of flavor. My dad called them the testicles.

Tuchus / Butt / Pope’s Nose

Neck – NO PHOTO, MY EMPIRE TURKEY WAS MISSING IT THIS YEAR! WTF??!

Wing (Drumstick, wing, wingtip)

Crispy skin near the opening – Still not sure what the proper name is for this

Hungry again?
